It is my great pleasure to pen this message for the “Techno 2024”, the National Engineering and Technology Exhibition and the annual flagship exhibition of “The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka” (IESL). As the President of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL), I am honoured to lead a community of talented and dedicated engineers who have played a crucial role in shaping our nation’s development. The IESL is a leading professional body representing Engineers that plays a major role in uplifting Engineering and technology excellence in Sri Lanka, and the ‘Techno 2024’ will be taking place at BMICH from 11th to 13th October 2024 for the 36th time and the theme of techno 2024 is “Engineering, the Path to Prosperity”.
The “Techno 2024” exhibition is not only the most celebrated and important annual event organized by The IESL but is one of the most attended technical exhibitions in the Country. Mainly we encourage people to actively engage in the various seminars, workshops and discussions that will be conducted during this event. At a time when the recent economic downturn in Sri Lanka is gradually becoming a normally, we hope to hold our exhibition more successfully and at a higher level in this time.
